This Program centers on the teachings of Carmelite Spirituality and their application to our busy modern lives. It provides counsel on how to live the Carmelite call to combine contemplative prayer with service to the Church, while at the same time providing guidance on how to make progress in holiness. The format includes teaching, discussion and questions and answers. The topics include: vocal, meditative and contemplative prayer, the teachings of Carmelite Saints and the Role of Mary in our Spiritual lives.
Mr. Mark Danis
Mr. Danis is a graduate of St Michael’s College in Winooski, Vermont, where he received a Bachelors degree in English Literature. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Dogmatic Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Connecticut. Mr. Danis has been a member of Secular Order of Carmel (OCDS) since January of 2006. He has been a significant contributor to the local chapter by providing education, counseling and public presentations on the areas of Carmelite Spirituality, Mystical Theology and Prayer. He has also been an active member in two separate parishes within the Diocese of Cincinnati. Mr. Danis and his wife Rebecca are the parents of six children and grandparents of four grandchildren.
