Ken talks with his guests Fr. Joseph Fessio about The Transforming Power of Faith by Pope Benedict XVI (Ignatius Press) and Echo Lewis author of Victorious Exile – The Unexpected Destiny of Katya Kolyschkine (Madonna House Publications) Pope Benedict XVI introduced his catecheses for the Year of Faith, a series of sixteen talks given at his weekly audience at end of his papacy. These talks explore how and why faith is relevant in the contemporary world. Echo Lewis writes about the life of Katya Kolyschkine, who came to be known in the West as Catherine de Hueck Doherty, who lived a life of adventure, peril, persecution and exile from her native Russia. The darkness of poverty and near despair closed in on Katya; but propelled by a love so great nothing could overpower it, she proved victorious in her quest to show the face of that love to thousands of others.
