November 19, 2013 – Tara Shaver

Albuquerque (ABQ) New Mexico is the late-term-abortion capital of the USA because there are virtually no restrictions on abortion in New Mexico. That may change today (Tuesday, 19 November) because the good people of ABQ signed enough petitions to get a”Pain Capable Abortion Ban” on the ballot for today’s election. If this passes, ABQ may be the only city in America with a municipal ordinance restricting abortion.

ABQ is thus the current location for pro-life forces to gather. Do you remember the Texas State legislature battles over pro-life legislation in Austin this past summer, and the Kermit Gosnell trial in Pennsylvania earlier this year?

Tara Shaver and friends are leading the effort to ban abortions of pain capable children–20 weeks post-fertilization–in Albuquerque. I encourage you to listen to this amazing development–opening a new front in the battle to protect pre-born children and their mothers–by way of a municipal ordinance. How did this young mother get involved? Who are her allies? What national attention is focused on ABQ today? And will this new approach be spreading to your city? Are you willing to be in the fight for life in your home town?
