My Writings. My Thoughts.
Joe discussed the beautiful feast day the Church celebrates this coming Sunday. The transformational seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to all of us.Through daily prayer and living in a state of grace, we can use these gifts to defeat the devil, do Our Lord’s most holy will and grow in holiness.
Joe discussed the recent meeting between our Holy Father and Fr. De Paolis. The mercy showed to Fr. De Paolis on behalf of the Holy Father was extraordinary and serves as a lesson for all of us to follow. Charity must reign in our lives! This is especially true in the face of injustice and hardships. As Blessed Mother Theresa says, “Charity begins today”. Let’s heed her call to fulfill our Baptismal promises and lead ourselves and those entrusted to us, through God’s grace, to a life of virtue and sanctity. For in the end, that is all that truly matters.
Joe rehashed the satanic event at Harvard this past week. He congratulated the faithful for being bold and standing up for the Truth, encouraged the faithful to continue to be strong and confirmed the Catholic’s unquestionable victory in the public square. Joe also reaffirmed Catholic teaching regarding the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist.
April 25, 2014 – Book Release– A Catechism for Business, tough ethical questions & insights from Catholic teaching
Guest – Joseph E. Capizzi, Ph.D.
Joe and Joseph discussed his exciting new book, (coauthored with Andrew V. Abela, Ph.D.). The main contribution of this book was to organize in one volume Church teaching of relevance to business and economics by topic and specific question. The unbiased nature of letting the documents speak for themselves is powerful!
Joe and Joseph’s enthusiastic discussion hit several high points such as: integration of our faith with our work, developing our conscience, just wage, finding happiness in business, and church’s role in business and economic theory.
The book is an indispensable tool for business men and women who desire to reach the next level of business and personal satisfaction.
Today Joe interviewed Chris White, coauthor of, Renewal: How a New Generation of Faithful Priests and Bishops Is Revitalizing the Catholic Church. Listen in and hear what the mainstream media chooses not to share. The Church IS in a great place! We are in fact in the midst of an exciting and beautiful renewal breathing new life into the Church!
Joe discussed the importance of Almsgiving in our spiritual lives. Recognizing that this voluntary act, asking for nothing in return, in giving to the poor (made in the image and likeness of God) is really giving back to God Himself. Almsgiving brings down temporal blessings upon us and a is means of obtaining a speedy answer to our prayers.
Joe started the show by discussing Eucharistic Adoration and the benefits contained therein. In a ramp up to Lent, Joe read a passage (“The way of nothing”) from the book “Divine Intimacy” highlighting our need for detachment. He expanded on this need in the identification of and rooting out that which is displeasing to God, namely sin. In doing so, we embark upon the path to holiness, which is to say, Union with God!
