My Writings. My Thoughts.
On today’s show, Joe and Michael discussed the unique and authentic Catholic nature of Fisher More College. Fisher More is rooted in the Traditional Latin Mass and offers a model for college life that embraces and fosters the spiritual, intellectual, and character development of each student. Not unlike a religious house of formation, Fisher More shapes the daily life, and soul, of each student by daily attendance at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Liturgy of the Hours, Academic Course Work, and Service in overall college operations (landscaping, meal prep, housekeeping, etc). As far as Catholic Colleges in the United States go, Fisher More embodies the total Catholic experience. It is the real deal. More can be learned at www.fishermore.edu
On today’s show, Joe interviewed Fr. Zieba and discussed his book “Papal Economics – The Catholic Church on Democratic Capitalism, from Rerum Novarum to Caritas Veritate” that was recently translated in to English. In addition to discussing the Catholic Church’s position on a free market economy, they addressed Father’s experience in the Solidarity Movement, life in Communist Poland, and his personal relationship with Blessed John Paul II.
On today’s show, Joe read a homily written by St. Gregory the Great entitled “The Lord follows his Preachers”. St. Gregory gives fantastic insight the to age old question “Are we living our life as we ought to”.
On today’s show, Joe talked about being thankful to God for all His many blessings in our lives. He also read a letter written by St. Louis that gave insight to his profound and proper love for his son. Truly an example to be emulated by all fathers!
Today Joe read a brief letter written by St. Peter Chrysologus. In the letter, St. Peter, clearly and concisely articulated the Devil’s plans to destroy us. Alas, despite his plan, Victory is ours! Holy Mother Church provides all the weapons we need to win this spiritual fight!
On today’s show, Joe reflected upon the writings of Opus Dei founder, St. Josemaria Escriva. In his book, “The Way”, St. Josemaria shares his wisdom, insight, and experience on how to manage our Interior Struggles and reign victorious in these daily battles.
