New Program: Living Out the Sacrament of Marriage

presented by Sr. Lucia Vittoria from Mary’s Ark Fraternity
Mary’s Ark Fraternity is a religious community founded in Brazil in 2003. It consists of Brothers, Sisters and lay-people. The confraternity has also had a presence in Italy since 2007, in Portugal since 2008, in Spain since 2008, in Paraguay since 2011, and has begun a small mission in Austria since 2012.
Its charisma is to live and to propagate total consecration to Jesus through the hands of the Blessed Virgin, according to the teachings and spirituality of Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort, as emphasized in his famous book entitled “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin”.
Saint Louis Marie de Montfort, a “missionary of the Cross and of the Blessed Virgin”, is the principal patron of the confraternity. In his spiritual school, we wish to develop the love that he had for God, for the Blessed Virgin and for his neighbor.
Like St John Paul II, speaking of total consecration, we recognize that: “This treasure cannot be hidden.” For that reason, we continue to seek ways to render more effective and more fruitful knowledge of this consecration.”
Aware of our smallness, we ask God each day to increase and purify in us the gift of charity, that we might have a genuine love that will make us capable of sacrificing ourselves for others, after the example of St Louis Marie de Montfort.
“Chosen soul, living image of God and redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, God wants you to become holy like him in this life, and glorious like him in the next” (SM 3). – St. Louis Marie de Monfort

for inspiration to take up the commitment to creation set before us by the Gospel of Jesus.

St. Philomena, Pray For Us…
O FAITHFUL VIRGIN and glorious martyr, St. Philomena, who works so many miracles on behalf of the poor and sorrowing, have pity on me. Thou knowest the multitude and diversity of my needs. Behold me at thy feet, full of misery, but full of hope. I entreat thy charity , O great Saint! Graciously hear me and obtain from God a favorable answer to the request which I now humbly lay before thee … (Here specify your petition.) I am firmly convinced that through thy merits, through the scorn, the sufferings and the death thou didst endure, united to the merits of the Passion and death of Jesus, thy Spouse, I shall obtain what I ask of thee, and in the joy of my heart I will bless God, who is admirable in His Saints. Amen
In the 1930s, the Lord spoke to a young Polish nun, St. Faustina Kowalska about His Divine Mercy. St. Faustina started to spread the devotion to Divine Mercy. It is a reminder that God is merciful and forgiving to all of us.
The Lord has given to us, through St. Faustina, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy”
(Repeat 3 times) O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
Our Father, Hail Mary and the Apostle’s CreedFor each of the five decades (On each “Our Father” bead of the rosary, pray)
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
(On each of the 10 “Hail Mary” beads, pray)
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Concluding prayer (Repeat 3 times)
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
“Oh, what great graces I will grant to souls who say this chaplet (…) Write down these words, My daughter. Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them” (Diary, 848).
“Say unceasingly the chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it, they will receive great mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy” (Diary, 687).
“It pleases Me to grant everything souls ask of Me by saying the chaplet. When hardened sinners say it, I will fill their souls with peace, and the hour of their death will be a happy one. Write this for the benefit of distressed souls; when a soul sees and realizes the gravity of its sins, when the whole abyss of the misery into which it immersed itself is displayed before its eyes, let it not despair, but with trust let it throw itself into the arms of My mercy, as a child into the arms of its beloved mother (…). Tell them no soul that has called upon My mercy has been disappointed or brought to shame. I delight particularly in a soul that has placed its trust in My goodness. Write that when they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as the merciful Savior” (Diary, 1541).

Jesus said to His Disciples:
“You have heard that it was said,
You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.
But I say to you, love your enemies
and pray for those who persecute you,
that you may be children of your heavenly Father,
for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good,
and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have?
Do not the tax collectors do the same?
And if you greet your brothers only,
what is unusual about that?
Do not the pagans do the same?
So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.” — Gospel MT 5:43-48
God seeks our highest good and teaches us to seek the greatest good of others, even those who hate and abuse us. Our love for others, even those who are ungrateful and selfish towards us, must be marked by the same kindness and mercy which God has shown to us. It is easier to show kindness and mercy when we can expect to benefit from doing so. How much harder when we can expect nothing in return. Our prayer for those who do us ill both breaks the power of revenge and releases the power of love to do good in the face of evil.
How can we possibly love those who cause us harm or ill-will? With God all things are possible. He gives power and grace to those who believe and accept the gift of the Holy Spirit. His love conquers all, even our hurts, fears, prejudices and griefs. Only the cross of Jesus Christ can free us from the tyranny of malice, hatred, revenge, and resentment and gives us the courage to return evil with good. Such love and grace has power to heal and to save from destruction. Do you know the power of Christ’s redeeming love and mercy?
God gives us every good gift in Jesus Christ so that we may not lack anything we need to do his will and to live as his sons and daughters (2 Peter 1:3). He knows our weakness and sinfulness better than we do. And he assures us of his love, mercy, and grace to follow in his ways. Do you want to grow in your love for God and for your neighbor? Ask the Holy Spirit to change and transform you in the image of the Father that you may walk in the joy and freedom of the Gospel.
“Lord Jesus, your love brings freedom and pardon. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and set my heart ablaze with your love that nothing may make me lose my temper, ruffle my peace, take away my joy, nor make me bitter towards anyone.”
“Every time I hear anyone speak of the Sacred Heart of Jesus or of the Blessed Sacrament I feel an indescribable joy. It is as if a wave of precious memories, sweet affection and joyful hope swept over my poor person, making me tremble with happiness and filling my soul with tenderness. These are loving appeals from Jesus who wants me wholeheartedly there, at the source of all goodness, his Sacred Heart, throbbing mysteriously behind the Eucharistic veils… I love to repeat today ‘Sweet Heart of my Jesus, make me love you more and more.”’ –Pope Saint John XXIII
“Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints”
O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints,
your love for God and Charity for His creatures,
made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers.
Encouraged by this thought,
I implore you to obtain for me (request).
O gentle and loving St. Anthony,
whose heart was ever full of human sympathy,
whisper my petition into the ears of the sweet Infant Jesus,
who loved to be folded in your arms;
and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen.
We are pleased to announce a new program hosted by our new Priest/Director of Programming, Fr. John Tino. As of now, his program, “Catechesis with the Director” airs on Mondays and Thursdays at 9:00am Central/10:00am Eastern, as well as Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8:30am Central/9:30am Eastern, right after the Mass, as he instructs us on our faith.
He would love to hear from you so we invite each of you to tune into his program and feel free to call him on the air, or email him, even if it is to let him know how you are doing and what Radio Maria means to you.
Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother,
to your Immaculate Heart we consecrate ourselves,
in an act of total to the Lord.
By You we will be led to Christ.
By Him and with Him we will be led to the Father.
We will walk in the light of faith, and we will do everything
so that the world may believe that Jesus Christ is the One sent by the Father.
With Him we wish to carry His Love and Salvation to the ends of the earth.
Under the protection of your Immaculate Heart,
we will be one People with Christ.
We will be witnesses of His Resurrection.
By Him we will be led to the Father,
for the glory of the Most Holy Trinity,
Whom we adore, praise and bless forever. Amen.
REMEMBER: AT HOLY MASS, THE BREAD AND WINE BECOME
THE BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.
Jesus said to them,
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood,
you have no life in yourselves.”
“He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
“For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.”
“He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.”
“As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me,
he also will live because of Me.”
“This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died;
he who eats this bread will live forever.”
John 6:53-58
Divine Jesus, You have said, “Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.” Behold me kneeling at Your feet, filled with a lively faith and confidence in the promises dictated by Your Sacred Heart to Saint Margaret Mary. I come to ask this favor: Mention your request).
To whom can I turn if not to You, Whose Heart is the source of all graces and merits? Where should I seek if not in the treasure which contains all the riches of Your kindness and mercy? Where should I knock if not at the door through which God gives Himself to us and through which we go to God? I have recourse to You, Heart of Jesus. In You I find consolation when afflicted, protection when persecuted, strength when burdened with trials, and light in doubt and darkness.
Dear Jesus, I firmly believe that You can grant me the grace I implore, even though it should require a miracle. You have only to will it and my prayer will be granted. I admit that I am most unworthy of Your favors, but this is not a reason for me to be discouraged. You are the God of mercy, and You will not refuse a contrite heart. Cast upon me a look of mercy, I beg of You, and Your kind Heart will find in my miseries and weakness a reason for granting my prayer.
Sacred Heart, whatever may be Your decision with regard to my request, I will never stop adoring, loving, praising, and serving You. My Jesus, be pleased to accept this my act of perfect resignation to the decrees of Your adorable Heart, which I sincerely desire may be fulfilled in and by me and all Your creatures forever.
Grant me the grace for which I humbly implore You through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother. You entrusted me to her as her child, and her prayers are all-powerful with You. Amen.
My God, I offer You all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings in union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, for the intentions for which He pleads and offers Himself in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in thanksgiving for Your favors, in reparation for my sins, and in humble supplication for my temporal and eternal welfare, for the needs of our holy Mother the Church, for the conversion of sinners, and for the relief of the poor souls in purgatory.

Offering
My God, I offer You all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings in union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, for the intentions for which He pleads and offers Himself in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in thanksgiving for Your favors, in reparation for my sins, and in humble supplication for my temporal and eternal welfare, for the needs of our holy Mother the Church, for the conversion of sinners, and for the relief of the poor souls in purgatory.
As we begin the month of June, traditionally dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we continue to stay close to Mary, our Mother, who leads us to Jesus her Son.
St. Margaret is known for spreading the devotion to Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in the world. She was a French nun who joined the Visitation Order in 1671. In 1675, as she knelt in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, Our Lord said to her: “See this Heart which is so deeply in love with men that it has spared nothing, to the point of wearing itself out and consuming itself, to prove to them its love. And in return, for the most part, it receives only ingratitude through their irreverence, and through the coldness and contempt which they have for me in this Sacrament of love… It is for this that I am asking you that the first Friday, after the Octave of Corpus Christi be set apart as a feast in honor of my Heart – a day on which to receive me in Holy Communion and make a solemn act of reparation…”
The Sacrament of Love is the Most Holy Eucharist. We do not want to show any ingratitude to His Body and Blood in the Most Holy Eucharist. The best way to prepare ourselves to receive Holy Communion is through a worthy Confession.
Let us open our hearts to Jesus present in the Most Holy Eucharist.

Give us a heart as beautiful,
pure, and spotless as yours.
A heart like yours, so full of
love and humility.May we be able to receive
Jesus as the Bread of Life,
to love Him as you loved Him,
to serve Him under the
mistreated face of the poor.We ask this through Jesus Christ
our Lord. Amen.
“O holy Mary, my Mistress,
into thy blessed trust and special keeping,
into the bosom of thy tender mercy,
this day, every day of my life
and at the hour of my death,
I commend my soul and body;
to thee I entrust all my hopes
and consolations, all my
trials and miseries,
my life and the end of my life,
that through thy most holy intercession
and thy merits, all my actions may
be ordered and disposed according to
thy will and that of thy Divine Son. Amen.”

St. Paul said in his letter to the Corinthians, that as the Holy Spirit dwells in each of us (1 Cor 3:16), it is crucial for our salvation that we listen to Him.
Our Lord indeed wants us to ask for His help and guidance through His Spirit. But, given our free will, He will not force Himself on us. We must choose to follow Christ on His path of sanctifying grace. St. Paul’s words to the Galatians (Gal 5:19-26) provide a good itinerary for this journey: we must avoid immorality, jealousy, hatred, selfishness, quarrels and the like.
For the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, we need to have the opposite emotions such as love, patience, kindness, generosity and self-control, even in difficult situations.
“O Lord Jesus Christ, Who, before ascending into heaven, didst promise to send the Holy Ghost to finish Thy work in the souls of Thy Apostles and Disciples, deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me, that He may perfect in my soul the work of Thy grace and Thy love.
Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal,
the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Thy divine truth,
the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining Heaven,
the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with Thee, and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation,
the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints,
the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable,
the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God, and may dread in any way to displease Him.
Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Thy true disciples and animate me in all things with Thy Spirit. Amen.”
Dear friends,
In this month of May, let us thank Our Lady, our Mother, for giving us the gift of Radio Maria. In this time of grace, Our Lady wants to talk to us through Radio Maria. She continues to lead us to Jesus her Son when she says “Do whatever He tells you” (John 2:5).
During our Spring Mariathon 2015, we are encouraged and inspired by many of you who have renewed your commitment to Radio Maria with your prayers, generosity and the help of many volunteers. You believe in the mission of Radio Maria in the Church. You help the Blessed Mother do the work of her Son. Thank you.
I strongly urge those of you who have not yet committed themselves, to help Radio Maria with your financial contribution to make that act of love. Help the Blessed Mother to help us. We are waiting for you.
Let us pray for the success of this Mariathon in order to help our Blessed Mother to lead more people to Jesus.
Blessings,
Fr. John Tino
I, ______________, a faithless sinner,
renew and ratify today in thy hands the vows of my Baptism;
I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works;
and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ,
the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life,
and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.
In the presence of all the heavenly court I choose thee this day for my Mother
and Mistress. I deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave, my body and soul,
my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions,
past, present and future, leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me,
and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure,
for the greater glory of God in time and in eternity. Amen.
(With Ecclesiastical Approval)
The month of May is the month of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let us renew our love for Our Lady, by entrusting ourselves to Her, our mother. As a good mother, she leads us to Jesus, her Son. Let us renew our beautiful tradition to pray the Rosary. Through the prayer of the Rosary, we meditate on the mysteries of the life of Jesus and we are inspired to imitate Him by bringing His love and peace to others.
Next week, all 74 Radio Maria’s worldwide on 5 continents, will have the great event of the Mariathon. It is a special moment to renew our zeal and love in our mission of Evangelization and Human formation in the world. Here at Radio Maria USA, beginning on Monday, we are asked to recommit ourselves for this worldwide mission through our prayers and generosity. We will end the Mariathon with the celebration of a worldwide Mass. Our Lady needs us to evangelize. Let us help Her. Thank you for your continued dedication and support.
