She loved the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph and began many Discalced Carmelite communities throughout Spain which now include priests and sisters all over the world .

Reading and studying St. Teresa of Avila’s numerous book, s one is sparked and intrigued by the Holy Spirit that guided and guarded this highly creative mind and blessedness of the woman highlighting a simple approach to prayer that got beyond the sedentary and ritual, bringing souls into contemplation, communication and spiritual formation with The Blessed Trinity, the Blessed Mother Mary and St. Joseph. Bl. Wm. Joseph Chaminade, Founder of The Society of Mary (Marianists) was a holy, gutsy, innovative, highly creative Catholic priest, who was exiled to Saragossa, Spain during the French Revolution. The only title he would accept was Apostolic Missionary whose mission related to him by the Blessed Mother was to rebuild the Catholic Church in France after the French Revolution. Chaminade accomplished this by creating solid experiences in developing small communities of men and women. “Evangelization Through Education” was his mottoand sharing bona fide authentic Catholic experiences. When he returned to France, Blessed Chaminade focused on being an evangelizer of young people, educator, community organizer, developer and builder…what we would dub today as a really forward thinking shaker and mover! His work carries on in Marianist Schools, Universities, Parishes and The Family of Mary Apostolate throughout the world under the Mantle of the Blessed Mother, Maria Duce, bringing souls to Jesus!

October 16, 2013 – Steve dos Santos, C.PP.S.

Francesca Franchina MS Ed. talks with Father Steve dos Santos, C.PP.S. (Missionaries of The Precious Blood) about Evangelization Today and Evangelization ala St . Gaspar del Bufalo, Founder of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in Italy in the 1800’s which has spread throughout many countries and still evangelizing! St. Gaspar’s method of Evangelization and Re-Catechizing “Missions” even converted a whole town (Soninno, Italy) that didn’t welcome or even like him! St. Gaspar’s time was a time of turmoil for Christians and the Catholic Church. Gaspar del Bufalo as a child contracted small pox and was losing his vision at 18 months old but was healed through the blessing he received of the relic of St. Francis Xavier at the Gesu in Rome. St. Gaspar was attracted to the Precious Blood and founded an order with the charism of The Precious Blood that is taught ,preached and received with a new ardor and understanding in today’s New Evangelization. This spirituality, prayer and teaching of St. Gaspar gathered and converted souls in Italy after the Napoleonic Era which was at odds with the Papal State. The French Revolution changed the horizon for Christians at the time, banishing priests and Catholicism into exile (as was St. Gaspar) and even martyrdom for some Catholics as Napoleon’s regime even horrifically enshrined the goddess of reason in the Tabernacle of the Cathedral Notre Dame. Napoleon’s eventual downfall and banishment from Italy brought forward the blessings of the Missionaries of The Precious Blood Charism and Spirituality that continues and is held in blessed esteem and practice today in the USA, South America, Europe, India and many other locales. Father Steve serves as Executive Assistant to the Provincial of the Missionaries of The Precious Blood in the Province of Cincinnati Provincial Administration located in Dayton, OH and has conducted Precious Blood Missions, Retreats and is active in Renewal.

September 4, 2013 – Fr. Tom Alkire

Francesca Franchina MS Ed. continues her talks with Fr. Tom Alkire, O. CARM of Los Angeles, CA about the Gift of Good Health and Healing; Adoration of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and its merits; the intercession of and graces bestowed on Mother Mary and the blessings of sacramentals including scapulars, medals, pictures, statues, oil, water, and blessed salt. Mary’s Queenship is based on her Divine Motherhood, and Father explains how The Queen Mother participates in our rebirth in The Holy Spirit on a daily basis and how Mary’s Queenship flows from the Motherhood of God. In Akita, Japan, she offered her tears 101 times sorrowing for the salvation of souls, many of whom would be lost. At Soufanieh, Damascus, Syria, she bestowed the fountain of oil (symbolizing the blood of Jesus), which oozes from her icon and flowed upon the hands of Myrna Mazzour; Hear how the Queen of Angels and her host of angels help us in our spiritual battles assuming our humility and simplicity asking for their help. Hear why and how we receive her armor of protection via her Brown Scapular and the Holy Rosary. (Wisdom: 5:l7-20; Echo of Ephesians 6;13-16.) The October 13th Marian appearance at Fatima in 1917 gave deeper evidence and understanding of the need of the Brown Scapular and Rosary in our time. Use of the miraculous oil from Our Lady of Soufanieh has been applied in faith to many in Syria who were healed. Marian apparitions involve Our Lady’s messages of unifying the People of God by much prayer and sacrifice including ecumenical outreach honoring the Virgin Mary and appearances in the Holy Land recently which brought together Jewish, Islamic and Christian people of all ages in Bethlehem and Jerusalem who were praying. Hear about Fr. Tom’s experience in the healing of families and the use of the blessed water & salt (her tears) and the blessed oil signifying the Blood of Jesus & Mary. Mary gave us The Peace Plan from Heaven…Live it! Pray for peace.

How do we get in communion with her as Queen via the angels and the saints? How do we approach The Blessed Mother’s Queenship in our own lives? Mary’s Queenship is based on her Divine Motherhood, and he explains how The Queen Mother participates in our rebirth in The Holy Spirit on a daily basis. Mary’s Queenship (Part I) flows from the Motherhood of God. Hear how the Queen of Angels and her host of angels help us in our spiritual battles assuming our humility and simplicity in asking for their help. Why and how do we receive her armor of Protection via her Brown Scapular and the Holy Rosary. (Wisdom: 5:l7-20; Echo of Ephesians 6;13-16.) The Sword/ EPH:6: 17 depicts the Word of God used by the Spirit: Mary guarded that Word in her heart. St. Padre Pio and The October 13th Marian appearance at Fatima in 1917 gave deeper evidence and understanding of the need of the Brown Scapular and Rosary in our time.
