This episode introduces everyone to the Eastern Churches, Catholic, Orthodox and Oriental.  The division between the East and the West is more complicated than a mere schismatic division but is one more so of man-made pride, political power and social mistrust.   This episode looks at autonomy and unity within the Orthodox Church and how extreme autonomy has led to some issues within the Church, as well as the opposite extreme of excessive centralization that we see in the Western Church.  The idea that the Church of Christ is both East and West and that Christ wills reunification is emphasized, but the importance of union with Rome for all churhces remains critical and necessary.

In this episode, the heresies of Manchieanism, Albingensianism, and Jansenism are discussed in detail.  Manchieanism and Albigensianism both saw the flesh and material world to be evil and rejected it.  Manchieanism actually proposed a dualistic system of a god of evil and a god of good that battle for domination of the universe.   The episode also explores the Theodicy and looks at why evil exists in the world from a Christian perspective.  Finally, special emphasis is given to the Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the heresy of Jansenism

This episode examines the often confusing doctrine of “Outside the Church There is No salvation” Or “Extra  Ecclesiam Nulla Salus”.   In it, we look at the doctrine from its origin in Medieval days from the Bull of Boniface to modern day documents of Vatican II.   We examine proper forms of ecumenism and the differences between the heretical ideals of the liberal movements of modernism and also the heretical ideals of the seda-vacantist movements.
