In this episode, I will discuss pollution, depleted soil, food additives, food preservatives, contaminated water, fluoridated water, chemicals, pesticides, and genetically modified organisms and how these, and other factors, are destroying our planet, our food, and therefore, our health, all given to us by God!
In this episode, I will discuss cardiovascular disease (CVD), the leading cause of death in the United States. CVD includes anything that involves the heart and blood vessels, including heart attacks, coronary artery disease, and strokes – all conditions in which high blood pressure (often treated through buy amlodipine tablet use), high cholesterol, obesity, and other factors can play a part. Diet can affect all of these factors. Prayer and medication help reduce the stressful effects of CVD.
Most authorities believe that diet is at the heart of many different types of cancer. In fact, the World Health Organization says that our diets contribute to at least 30% of all cancers in the U.S. and other Western countries. A poor diet can increase your odds of developing cancer, just as a healthy diet can help you to reduce your risk of cancer. I will discuss the foods that promote cancer and those that fight cancer, such as the foods I ate to beat melanoma. Also, prayer and meditation are used to reduce stress and to give supernatural support.
Regardless of what we eat, our diets are composed primarily of protein, fats, and carbohydrates. These three nutrients, given to us by God, are called macronutrients because we eat them in relatively large amounts compared to the micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). In this episode, I will explain proteins, fats, and carbohydrates and their various roles in the body. I will also discuss the importance of water, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytochemicals.
It’s been said that “You are what you eat,” but that’s not completely true, because in actuality, you are what you digest. In this episode, I will explain digestion and what happens after we take our first bite. Also discussed will be problems that can occur when digestion is faulty. Some of these problems include acne, allergies, arthritis, autism, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic heart failure, depression, diabetes, obesity, and psoriasis. There are several ways to improve digestion including improving the diet, with God’s help, adding probiotics and prebiotics, drinking plenty of water, and taking supplements, when necessary.
Many teenagers today live on dead-food diets, eating only junk food, processed food, or baked or fried snack food. Few of them eat anything that is real, live, and fresh. Most adolescents get their fruit from fruit juice rather than from whole, enzyme-rich, fresh fruits and their vegetables from fried potatoes! In the years between 1965 and 1996, soft drink consumption in the United States increased by nearly 300%. Sadly, a 2010 study found that 40% of all the calories consumed by children aged two to eighteen years were from empty calories-that is, refined sugars and solid fat with half of those calories coming from soda, fruit drinks, dairy desserts, grain desserts, pizza, and whole milk (rather than reduced-fat milk). But true health can only be obtained through proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. When we go against the laws of God, polluting our bodies and our minds, the result is an imbalance, a dis-ease of bodily function, and that leads to a diseased body or mind. This episode will discuss the specific foods teenagers are consuming, while offering healthy alternatives.
At the age of three, our son, David, suffered a serious head injury when he fell down a flight of stairs. He was eventually diagnosed with acute cerebellar ataxia – a condition caused by damage to the cerebellum. The doctors offered no cure and no hope. Since organized medicine offered no answers we turned to God and begged for His help. Thus began our search to help David. Through improved nutrition, techniques including “Cross Crawl” and prayer, David eventually re-learned how to walk, then run, and finally he became a start athlete and scholar, until his life was cut short due to injuries sustained in a college football game. My goal in this broadcast is to give the listeners hope; that no matter how desperate a situation seems, it is important to never give up, because miracles can happen. GOD is ALWAYS with us!
Many of today’s most serious deseases and disorders could be avoided just by changing our lifestyle and especially our nutrition. The modern American diet is high in calories, yet low in nutrients. Our poor diets are the reason we have many of today’s leading causes of death and disease, including heart disease, cancer, stroke, obesity and diabetes.
Unfortunately, many people are unaware of the link between poor diet and disease and that improving their diets and nutrition can profoundly improve their health. The goal of this program is to help educate people on the effects which their diets have on their lives and to make meaningful suggestions for a healthier, happier, disease-free life. As SOLDIERS OF CHRIST, MADE TO THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD, we have a moral responsibility to take care of God’s gift to us (our bodies). We can help accomplish this goal through better nutrition.
