July 10, 2014 – On the Cross and the Demonic Part One

It is when we receive the gift of being in a situation without a human solution that we really learn to surrender to God. He wants our total detachment from creatures, things, and our sense of control. This is an indispensable means to achieve intimacy with Christ. He wants to be our All. It is when we are placed in a seemingly hopeless situation that we can learn to really live one day at a time, to live in the moment, with peace and assurance that since God created us, He will sustain us. We need to take the Lord at his word when he tells us,
“Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:33-34)
