December 31, 2014 – Alejandro Cañadas, PhD Mount St. Mary’s University and CUA speaks on Marian Spirituality At Home

Francesca Franchina, MS Ed. talks with  Dr. Alejandro Cañadas, PhD,  Associate Professor of Economics, School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University, and Adjunct Professor of Economics, School of Business & Economics at The Catholic University of America. Dr. Cañadas  presented Marian Spirituality at Home at the University of Dayton  2014 Marian Symposium sponsored by the Marian Library and IMRI (International Marian Research Institute) on the importance of Marian Devotions for every family. Dr. Cañadas, a lay Marianist, is from Argentina, married and the father of three young children. As parents, he and his wife Cynthia live their  family vocation with a Marian  spiritual method  and share the Marian Spirituality framework  applied in the family context according to Marianist Spirituality (Bl. Wm. Joseph Chaminade) utilizing a practical example  that Alejandro developed and uses daily with  their family.

Go Ye Forth and Make Disciples of All Nations!  They will know  you are My disciples  by your love.”  Our Blessed Mother was named “The Star of Evangelization” and we are called to the New Evangelization and Marian Spirituality. “Taste and see the goodness of the Lord!” is a favorite Scripture of Bl. Chaminade.  Dr. Cañadas  has found a way to bring these important facets together and make them work.
