Francesca Franchina MS Ed. speaks with Gina Giambrone Loehr, native Daytonian, now living on a 700 acre dairy farm with her husband and four young children in Wisconsin, is an inspirational speaker, author, and theology professor, who also met Pope Francis when she served as a delegate on the Pontifical Council for the Laity’s Vatican Study on Women in The Church. Gina is the author of four published books: The Four Teresas; Saint Francis, Pope Francis: A Common Vision; Real Women; Real Saints: Friends for Your Spiritual Journey; and a book on Catholic women’s spirituality Choosing Beauty: A 30-Day Spiritual Makeover for Women all published by Franciscan Media. Gina holds a master’s degree in theology and a bachelor’s degree in theatre studies. Her unique conversion from “theatre” to “theology, along with extensive experience as a catechetical missionary and retreat leader with NET Ministries, several years of work in youth/young adult ministry and pro-life outreach, teaching high school theology at Fenwick High School in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and theatre for two years equipped her well. After working as a dynamic full time chastity speaker, inspiring thousands of teens and young adults she began speaking to a wide range of Catholic audiences, writing books and doing freelance writing projects for Catholic periodicals. Her writing has appeared in The National Catholic Register, Our Sunday Visitor, St. Anthony Messenger Magazine, First Things, Franciscan Way, and The Catholic Herald. Gina is also a trained NFP (Natural Family Planning) teacher who has spoken for numerous engaged enrichment events in her archdiocese.
Gina will be speaking at Sinclair Community College on Thursday Evening February 19th hosted by The Traditional Values Club and on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 7:00 PM at The University of Dayton Mother of Good Counsel Alumni Hall Chapel hosted by The Joyful Lambs of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary: A Marianist Lay Community and CREDO Apostolate Affiliate.
