St. Perpetua was not yet baptized when she had decided to confess being a Christian. This meant prison and then death by being thrown to wild beasts. What is amazing is her faith, an account she gives, written by her own hand while in prison. Our Lord is very close to her and grants her visions that encourage her and ought to encourage us.
