Matthew Arnold is an engaging Catholic speaker and author, but his primary vocation is that of husband and father of six. Each week on the live program Shield of Faith, Matthew and his guests confront the many challenges facing faithful Catholics today. Whether the topic is literature or liturgy, the papacy or pop culture, the focus of Shield of Faith is the authentic role of laypeople according to the Decree on the Apostolate of the Laity (Apostolicum Actuositatem), the universal call to holiness, and Saint Paul’s admonition to “put on the armor of God” (Ephesians 6.10ff).
