The World Mariathon, organised by the World Family of Radio Maria Association (www.radiomaria.org), is scheduled to take place from the 10th to 12th of May. It will involve listeners of Radio Maria stations worldwide in the evangelising mission that has characterised this Catholic broadcasting station for more than twenty five years.
It will be an important radio event with a special continental and world programming schedule to inform listeners of the new projects that the World Family has launched around the world. The opportunity will be provided to support them through offerings and donations according to the methods provided by the individual broadcasting stations or directly on the event’s website (www.mariathon.org).

To open a Radio Maria station in one of these 11 countries assumes an added value for both Radio Maria and the Universal Church, since the Christian population is a small minority. It is an ambitious initiative which has a wide-reaching social, even before Christian, value. The event will serve as an aggregator for all the 64 member radios, for a broadcasting station which reaches almost half a billion people worldwide.
