July 28, 2013 – “He appointed twelve whom he also named Apostles”

Mountain was a symbol of prayer and of God’s presence. When Jesus Christ scaled the mountain to elect his twelve Apostles, he made such election a prayer event. We saw this pattern repeated in the early Church as they elected other Apostles and deacons. This manner of elections seems to be lost in modern election rigging, cronyism, and nepotism. Hence, public office is fraught with less God-gearing service people. What happens to the method of Christ and the Apostolic style?

October 21, 2012 – Can God’s Plan Include Failure (Part 3); The Year of Faith

This week we wrapped up our discussion, “Can God’s Plan Include Failure” and moved on to apply the truths we have been learning to the all-important mission of evangelization. We also discussed the Year of Faith and the New Evangelization, a chance for the Church to implement the wonderful teachings of Vatican II as the Council Fathers intended. We challenged our listeners to step out in faith by sharing the faith with people they meet this week. We also invited them to ā€œcall inā€ this Sunday to report back on how the Lord worked through them to reach people with the Good News! Today week we will conclude our discussion of ā€œCan Godā€™s Plan Include Failureā€ and dive into the Year of Faith and the New Evangelization!
