Parish Youth Initiatives – Aug. 18, 2010

Francesca Franchina, MS Ed. talks with Josh Englefield, Director of Youth Ministry at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish in Beavercreek, OH and students who participated in The St. Luke Summer 2010 Parish Youth Initiatives. All three activities offered the high school youth an experience with Christ that deepened their faith. Students relate their experiences on their mission trip to Harlan Kentucky where they rehabbed homes; their journey to the Franciscan University Youth Conference in Steubenville, OH with 2000 students from all over the USA; culminating in Cross Training which ran for a week at the parish designed to engage dialogue in the small group, witness talks, activities, games and topped off with an intergenerational brunch which they prepared and hosted for parish members, table talk and day long canoe trip.
