July 10, 2014 – Fr. Peter Cameron

Ken talks with Fr. Peter Cameron, author of “Novenas for the Church Year” (Our Sunday Visitor). The book provides readers with over 60 new novenas in preparation for milestones throughout the Catholic calendar. September 8, 2013 – “Magnificat – The Canticle of Our Lady throughout the Ages”

Outside of the words of the Mass, few sacred texts have been set to music as often as the Magnificat, the Canticle of Mary. These beautiful words of Our Lady from the Gospel of Saint Luke have inspired composers for hundreds of years, right up to our own time. This program will feature different musical settings of the Magnificat in Latin and in English from different historical eras, all programmed to honor Our Lady on the Feast of her Nativity.

November 5, 2012 – The Sacramental Grace of the Mass

Host, Kathleen Beckman will discuss why the Mass is a distinct occasion of sacramental grace because in the Eucharist we have direct physical contact with Jesus. This is the most important distinction from other forms of healing prayers. At the bottom of the hour, she will offer insights from George Weigel’s reflection on “What Voting Means” given at the OC Catholic Prayer Breakfast; and then share insights from Magnificat’s “Day of Faith” where Fr. Peter Cameron, O.P., Editor-in-Chief of Magnificat gave a keynote address on “Your Faith Has Saved You!”
