Beginning on Monday, January 12, 2015, Radio Maria will bring to the airwaves a unique program hosted by Dr. John Acquaviva, entitled Faith and Fitness. Dr. Acquaviva is an exercise physiologist, holding a PhD in exercise science and currently teaching at Wingate University in North Carolina. Over the years, he has given hundreds of energetic presentations to Catholic Church adult congregations, youth groups and campus ministries. His book, Improving Your Body Image Through Catholic Teaching was first available in March, 2014, and went to the #1 bestseller list in April, 2014. Dr. Acquaviva will bring the Theology of the Body to health and fitness, discussing a variety of related topics to assist listeners in their attempts to lose weight, improve fitness, and improve body image – all framed within the concept that the human body is God’s greatest gift to us.
