Live coverage of the 2015 March For Life in Washington DC

March For Life

On January 22nd, hundreds of thousands of pro-life people, mostly young adults, will come to Washington D.C.  to March for Life as we protest Roe v. Wade.  Every year since abortion was legalized, pro-lifers have marched to let Congress, the Supreme Court, and the nation know that Americans support life.  January is not the ideal month for standing in the cold for hours, so everyone bundles up and somehow that day seems to be one of the coldest and rainiest of the year.  In spite of the weather, we still March making great sacrifices because the unborn need a voice. Join us for LIVE coverage leading up to the March and Thursday throughout the day.

Also, Join with your Radio Maria Family in the Novena …For the conversion of all hearts and the end to abortion. http://www.usccb.org/

August 26, 2014 – National Day of Rememberance for Aborted Babies – Monica Miller, Eric Scheidler & Gary Anderson

Millions of our American children have been legally murdered in their mother’s wombs to satisfy a disordered craving for immoral sexual activity. Most of their bodies were flushed into urban sewage systems; their remains known but to God. But a precious few–their bodies rescued from dumpsters and garbage bags–have been dignified by burial in hallowed ground at sites scattered around our country.

Today, we call attention to these unwanted children who never nestled in their father’s arms or suckled at their mother’s breasts. Instead, they have been sacrificed on the alter of convenience, accommodated by the professions of medicine, law, and religion.

Our Guests today are Monica Miller (Citizens for a Pro-Life Society), Eric Scheidler ( Executive Director of Prolife Action League) and Gary Anderson (Culture of Life Director for Ohio Knights of Columbus).
Monica has rummaged through hundreds of dumpsters and buried the human remains of thousands of aborted children. She is the author of Abandoned, The Untold Story of the Abortion Wars.
Eric is a second generation activist leader of abortion mill presence, sidewalk-counseling, and a multitude of activities aimed at protecting women and children from the abortion scourge.
Gary represents the Knights of Columbus, an organization that has steadfastly supported pro-life for decades by providing free ultrasound machines to pregnancy support centers, and establishing a network of shrines that honor our aborted children.

June 10, 2014 – Robert Muckle

Robert Muckle is one of those long-time Pro-Life warriors that will be in the battle until we win or he goes to heaven. He has served CT Right to Life Corp for almost 40 years, holding offices and organizing the annual Waterbury bus to the March for Life all of that time.

Connecticut has played an important role in the effort to keep contraception illegal and thus slowing the march toward legalized abortion. Eventually it was the legal tangles in CT over their Comstock Laws that paved the way for Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton. It seems ironic that efforts to prevent contraceptive access would eventually provide the “privacy” legal arguments that would lead to the legalization of abortion on demand throughout the US.

On June 21st Waterbury Catholics (and hopefully others) will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of closing the Waterbury Birth Control Clinic on June 19th, 1939. How will they celebrate? What does this celebration portend for the future of the Catholic Church in America? Has America’s culture of death reached its zenith?

January 21, 2014 – Trent Horn

Wednesday, 22 January 2014, marks the 41st anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe vs Wade and Doe vs Bolton decisions legalizing the killing of pre-born children in America. Trent Horn is an appropriate Guest for this week’s “The Quest for a Culture of Life in America” program.

Trent holds a Master’s degree in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and is currently an apologist and speaker for Catholic Answers. He specializes in training pro-lifers to intelligently and compassionately engage pro-choice advocates in genuine dialogue. He is the author of Answering Atheism and Making the Case for Life (DVD), both published by Catholic Answers.

Making the Case for Life is a very valuable teaching tool for transforming any abortion debate into a fruitful conversation–one that opens minds and hearts to the humanity of the pre-born child while maintaining a non-confrontational environment. Trent’s approach has been developed by refining ideas of seasoned pro-life leaders and applying them with hundreds of college students.

August 30, 2013 – Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League

Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League, discusses the work of his organization and the planned September 14, 2013 National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Babies, which his group is cosponsoring with Citizens for a Pro Life Society and Priests for Life.

August 20, 2013 – Dr. Mary Davenport

The triennial meeting of the MWIA, Medical Women’s International Association, an organization started in 1919, was held three weeks ago in Seoul, Korea. Three AAPLOG (America Assn of Pro-Life Obstetricians & Gynecologists) women were scheduled presenters. Drs Donna Harrison, Mary Davenport, both ObGyns, and Dr. Martha Shuping, a psychiatrist flew to Seoul for the meeting, but at the last moment, they were informed their sessions would be cancelled. Why? Their presentations were cancelled because they did not support the pro-abortion ideology of the meeting’s organizers.

What happened next was quite astonishing. Be sure to listen–at radio maria.us –as Dr Mary will be our Guest on “The Quest for a Culture of Life in America” Tuesday at Noon ET.

She will describe her personal conversions to NFP-Only, Natural Procreative Technology, and the the Roman Catholic faith. She is the immediate past president of AAPLOG and can tell us about that organization.

But, we mainly want to hear how the Holy Spirit orchestrated the banning of their presentations to a small group of MWIA attendees so that their message could be heard all over the world. Lesson #1: The Holy Spirit will take the ball and run with it if allowed in the game. So, do your part–listen to that small voice encouraging you to do something that will advance the Culture of Life.

Just do it; the Holy Spirit will do most of the actual work!

Mary will synopsize the three presentations; all addressed the harm caused to women by abortion:
Donna Harrison’s presentation demonstrated that nations with laws protective of mothers and unborn babies have excellent maternal mortality statistics. Ireland is a classic example
Mary Davenport had a talk about abortion as a risk factor for pre-term birth, the cause of 15 million neonatal deaths each year internationally. Mary travels extensively to gather data and present the facts of abortions harm.
Martha Shuping had a presentation that included two case reports of women who suffered severe psychological harm from abortion, even though they had obvious risk factors that were not discussed in the informed consent process.

July 5, 2013 – Joe Pojman

Joe Pojman of Texas Alliance for Life who was in the gallery in the Texas senate chambers this week when the pro-aborts staged a mob scene to prevent an anti-abortion bill from passing. Joe will talk about what it was like being there and what is happening now in Texas to get the legislation passed.

June 25, 2013 – Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust

Please join Jeff and Kristina, and several Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust on Radio Maria’s “The Quest for a Culture of Life in America”.
You may ask, “Who are the ‘Survivors of . . . ‘?” Some new TV adventure program, where your comrades evict you every week? NOT!
Survivors are anyone born since Roe vs Wade made abortion legal in every state, at any age, for any reason. The particular Survivors we will be chatting with have either been through a “pro-life boot camp” or are in the current “camp” in southern California. These are young adults 14-29 who have paid almost $500 to be immersed in the pro-life movement with two-solid weeks of seminars and activism. They graduate with the energy, enthusiasm, commitment, knowledge, and experience to be the pro-life leaders in our communities for years to come.

June 18, 2013 – Chris Slattery

We are honored today to have another great veteran front-line pro-lifer as our Guest on the Quest–“The Quest for a Culture of Life in America”. Chris Slattery is the Founder and President of Expectant Mother Care Frontline Pregnancy Centers (EMC) in America’s most hostile environment for pre-born babies.

NYC has the highest abortion rate in America–60%, if I recall correctly. EMC operates 12 pregnancy resource centers in four NYC boroughs, including 6 in the Bronx, of which one is a mobile unit with ultrasound. Since beginning in 1985, EMC has saved at least 44,000 babies from abortion and counseled over 125,000 women.

Chris has an established Pro-Life Internship that trains and engages people in the EMC ministry in NYC and expands EMC into other cities and states.

What will we learn from our program today that can motivate us to join the battle for a Culture of Life?

June 11, 2013 – Steven Ertelt

Steven Ertelt’s pro-life credentials run deep–National Right to Life Committee,Students for Life of America, Indiana Right to Life, Montana Right to Life and Colorado Citizens for Life. In 1993, he founded LifeNews to provide timely internet news of interest to a rapidly growing pro-life community.

Please join Steven and Steve (me) to learn what the latest developments are in a rapidly changing culture dominated by government attacks on life, family, religion, privacy, health and marriage. How can we respond? Isn’t government supposed to serve the people?

October 16, 2012 – 40 Days for Life

From a local prayer vigil at a Planned Parenthood abortuary in College Station Texas, Shawn Carney and David Bereit have built 40 Days for Life Campaigns into a massive baby-saving, abortion-worker-rescuing, abortuary-closing production line that has documented close to 6000 saved babies, 69 abortion-workers leaving, and several closed abortion mills. These campaigns have energized the pro-life movement with thousands of new volunteer prayers and workers. Please listen to learn more about how this movement began and developed to include 40 Days for Life campaigns in over 300 cities, 49 states, on four continents and 7 countries.
