Father Loya addresses Christ’s genealogy, the 3 youths in the furnace and the death of the innocents in the Biblical past and sadly now. Father Loya notes that the Bible is not just a history lesson, it is about us and it is happening now. Special guest, Juliana Taimoorazy of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council talks about the middle eastern Christians being present day witnesses and martyrs for the faith and what her organization does to help those Christians and how you can help. Juliana also discusses what is being done and what is not being done to secure a safe haven for Assyrian Christians (evangelized by St. Thomas). Father Loya invites as to pull back the veil and see God as He manifests Himself in the Incarnation, where the invisible God is made visible through the physical. This is the world of Catholicity.

Father Loya talks about the loss of family members this past year and reflects that through faith it allowed God to permeate his existence and that God can hold the departed in Eternal Memory with perfect love. We further discuss the pillars of Advent or as called in the Eastern Catholic Churches, Phillip’s Fast as we are called to prayer, fasting and charity as this time is not only a time for joy but for penance as well. We should live Christmas as it was meant to be lived!

October 22, 2014 – Fatima Prophecies: Heavenly Invitations

Prophecy has been a part of our spiritual heritage since Adam and Eve. Our Lady’s messages given at Fatima are no exception. In them, we are encouraged to draw strength from praying the rosary, making reparation for sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary , and interceding for people who are in danger of not reaching heaven, the worst of all possible sufferings. The long-anticipated “Third Secret” of Fatima goes even further. It promotes penance as a means to grow in holiness. With even small sacrifices we can discern more clearly the many difficult choices that confront us each day.

December 7, 2012 – Advent 2012

Joe discussed the beauty of Advent and the opportunity it provides for us to grow in holiness. At the beginning of our Liturgical year, during this time of penance and mortification, now is the time to make our resolutions and elevate our spiritual game! We are called to be Saints, let’s get after it!
