On Friday January 14 Monsignor Mark L Bartchak was named as the eighth Bishop of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. Bishop-elect Bartchak was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Erie, PA in 1980 and, in addition to serving the Catholic of the diocese, has used his rich background in Canon Law on the diocesan, state and national levels.
