Ken talks with Devin Rose The Protestant’s Dilemma: How the Reformation’s Shocking Consequences Point to the Truth of Catholicism (Catholic Answers) Devin shows with solid evidence, compelling reason, and gentle humor how the major tenets of Protestantism – if honestly pursued to their furthest extent – wind up in dead ends. The only escape? Catholic truth. Rose patiently unpacks each instance, and shows how Catholicism solves the Protestant s dilemma through the witness of Scripture, Christian history, and the authority with which Christ himself undeniably vested his Church. The Protestant s Dilemma is the perfect book for non-Catholics trying to work through their own nagging doubts, or for Catholics looking for a fresh way to deepen their understanding of the Faith You can purchase Devin’s book at: shop.catholic.com Devin blogs at www.devinrose.heroicvirtuecreations.com

June 26, 2013 – An Unexpected Discovery: A Young Man’s Journey to the Catholic Church

In this program I interview a young Christian, Jared, with a fascinating story. He is considering entering the Catholic Church! His story begins when, at 17 years old, he wondered what he believed about God and why. He first searched the roots of his Protestant faith, but this increased his concerns. He did not understand why some of the teachings of the founders, like Calvin and Luther, were no longer part of his denomination’s practice. Discouraged by not finding satisfactory answers, he studied some Eastern religions, only to discover in that process a thread that would lead him to the last place he expected: the Catholic Church! Now, he is devoting himself to studying the Catholic Church as the one Church founded by Our Lord. With a conviction he attributes to Our Lady, Jared hopes to enter the Catholic Church as soon as possible.
