Why Mary? Why honor Mary? Why go to Mary? Why pray to her, asking her to intercede for us? To answer these questions we must understand who Mary is and what her place is in God’s loving plan of redemption and salvation. In explaining who Mary is and her singular role, I will discuss basic teachings on Our Lady; e.g., the four Marian dogmas, Mary’s spiritual Motherhood in the order of grace, her Queenship, etc, and discuss what our response should be to these truths about her.
