Richard Doerflinger has had many titles during his 33 year employment by the USCCB (US Conference of Catholic Bishops). Currently he is Associate Director of the Pro-Life Secretariat, advising the bishops on pro-life federal legislation and strategy. He has an especially challenging assignment having to deal with a Senate and White House that are unsupportive of Catholic teaching on life and marriage. Please join us as Richard shares his experience and challenges.
I’ll also be asking him about the role of the USCCB and potential conflict between that body and the role of the individual bishop as the Vicar of Christ for his diocese.
