July 15, 2014 – “Have A Heart For The Next Generation”

We have multiple Guests to share their part in “Have A Heart For The Next Generation” — local adults and young people who have a heart for preborn children and want to learn how to stop the killing of their younger brothers and sisters in the Lord. From Dayton, we are expecting Paul Coudron from Dayton Right to Life, Ryan Mahle and Katie Pfeifer, Archbishop Altar HS, and hopefully Bob and Vivian Skovgard

We will also have those from outside the Dayton community who are here to lead the event–Wendy Wright and the Scott and Kathy Heldreth family of 8 children who have traveled all the way from Texas to help educate and train the Dayton “young” and “young at heart”. Wendy is a veteran pro-life leader who “went from Bible College to jail to invitations to the White House”. She is VP of C-FAM (they monitor the often anti-life/family activities at the UN) and a former president of Concerned Women for America.

I am very eager to learn more about “Have A Heart . . .” and these totally committed people who are making a commitment to the culture of life in Dayton.

Francesca Franchina, MS Ed talks with retired sales manager and sales trainer for Butler Systems, Paul Coudron, the highly creative, high octane Executive Director of Life Resource Center, and The Dayton Pro-Life Education Foundation about the endeavors, work and successes of the local Life Resources Center staff and volunteers who keep The Stork Nest (emergency baby pantry); the three levels of parenting classes, and so many pro-life local services running smoothly and efficiently. How do local pro-life ministries manage to keep current on Pro-Life connections in Columbus, OH to know what is happening in legislation concerning pro life movement interests and Right to Life nationally, statewide and locally? The Life Resource Center of Dayton has hosted family and team/organization fun with the Third Annual L K Hausfeld Ride For Life and Celebration to be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 on area bike paths with endurance/mileage categories from 6-100 miles; starting and finishing at The Life Centre 425 E. Findlay St., Dayton, OH. Individuals, families, and bike teams will gather in a celebration after the ride, with pizza, DQ Bars, the wonderful music of Nick Cardilino and $6000 worth of donated door prizes for the participants. Hear about the all new biking adventure: The University of Dayton to Notre Dame Right To Life Bike Ride beginning on the UD campus Wednesday, July 31st, with participants biking 240 miles with stop overs in Minster, OH Decatur, IN, Winona Lake Indiana/Grace College and ending at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.

Francesca Franchina, MS Ed. talks with Dayton international Festival Council Members about the 40th Anniversary Year of The Dayton International Festival held at the Convention Center in Dayton, Ohio on Pentecost Weekend not only about the good food and great entertainment but what happens behind the scenes in such a vast undertaking bringing together numerous ethnic groups from all over the world, living in the heartland of America in the USA! How long do they gather to plan each year strategizing problem areas amenably with varying temperaments, languages and rules of engagement? Who is included in planning and membership rights; how are the ups, downs, calamities and great joys dealt with each year as they determine theme, organizational structure and amiably put together all the booths, venues and multiple staging of continuous entertainment, highlighted by a Midnight Mass for workers on Saturday night/Sunday morning. What is the mission, vision and purpose of DIFI? How are they faring with all the uproars throughout the world, does it affect DIFI in Dayton, OH? Ethnicity is alive andwell in Dayton, and growing new communities arrive and stay here! Why do they call Dayton, Ohio home now?

Michael Duricy teaches and serves as the webmaster for “The Mary Page” at the International Marian Research Institute located at the U of Dayton in Dayton, OH. We are fortunate to have him translate Mary’s words and actions into a Culture of Life language for us today.

Francesca Franchina MS Ed. talks with  Marilyn Hart, native Daytonian,  wife, mother of seven, grandmother, life time member of Precious Blood Parish in Dayton,Ohio;  successful business woman, artist, teacher and more,  about her life now  as a highly  creative woman  exhibiting Marian Art  at the University of Dayton Marian Library  and how her life coupled with a deep faith  impacted her family, friends  and hundreds of people  she took on tour to the Holy Land and worldwide in her highly successful  travel business after the family was raised  and she had traveled extensively with her husband on business trips, attending business conferences.

Francesca Franchina, MS Ed talks with Paul Coudron, Executive Director of Dayton Right to Life about the work and successes of Right to Life nationally and locally and the upcoming L K Hausfeld Ride For Life and Celebration to be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 on area Bike Paths starting and finishing at The Life Centre 425 E. Findlay St.; Dayton, OH, with various starting times and participants of all ages & riding endurance from mileage categories from 6-100 miles. Families participate as well as seasoned bikers, followed by The Celebration from 1:00-2:30 PM with local radio and TV personalities and the wonderful music of national award winner, musician, composer and singer Nick Cardilino. Food, Games, Entertainment and Prizes!
